In order to advance along the storyline, the player will need to do just an incredible amount of tasks. Get important resources in order to be able to build defenses - this will be the first step to create an invincible army. For completing tasks you will receive money for which you can hire specially trained soldiers. When you can get the required number of units, start a war with one of the clans. Remember that you are fighting against real opponents, therefore it is important to develop flexible tactics so as not to fall into the trap.
